World Heritage


World heritage is created by the history of mankind, it is a valuable treasure handed over from the past. There are nine world heritage sites in Morocco. Morocco has built its own culture while incorporating various cultures as the intersection of Europe, Africa and the Arab.

"Maamid" and "Merzouga" are known as the deserts in Morocco. The former is a partial sand dune in the desert, and the latter is of the image of "sandy ocean spreading to the horizon." In addition to sunrise early in the morning, there is also a mysterious charm at sunset. There are tours with camel rides and sleeping under the starry sky.



Mankind lived since prehistoric times in Morocco, where the civilation of the Roman Empire dating back 30 centuries, Berber and Arab came. Many treasures are in Morocco, related to the history, i.e. carpets costumes, weapons, etc. are exhibited together as well as art objects.



Craftworks are national heritage of Morocco, where various culture crossed during civilization of Europe, Arab and African countries. Many excellent traditional techniques have been passed down from generations to generations for many centuries. Craftowrks with vivid colors and delicate patterns are still used by people in Morocco and are rooted in their lives.

Architecture and Interior style


In Morocco's traditional architectural style, there are few windows on the wall facing the street and the doors are closed, but inside there is a large bright patio (courtyard) and a lush green space. A typical interior style continues from the arched entrance called Caus to the room. Along the windows of the living room in the room, low chairs are arranged in a U shape, and a lot of cushions are placed. Beautiful fine mosaic tile and stone floor, large and small carpet is laid and a unique color world will is developed.



Moroccan cuisine is registered as UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage as healthy Mediterranean cuisine, using a lot of olives and olive oil. Morocco is gifted with variety of food ingredients, and also known for wine, which developed under French protectorate.


Tourism is an important sector for Morocco and tourists can select their accommodation from various categories of hotels, from luxurious hotels to inexpensive hotels. It is also recommended to stay at a charming petit hotel (Riyadh), mostly remodeled from traditional mansion.


The abundance of Moroccan crafts is overwhelming. As souvenirs, leather products such as babouche (slippers), woodcrafts, ceramics, etc. are found in the souk. Cosmetics is popular among women, such as rose water, argan oil, and more recently cactus oil.


Morocco is a country of fragrance. Flowers of roses, almonds, oranges, jasmines, etc. blooms and various essential oils are used for massage that you can enjoy in the hammams and spas. Rose water, ghassoul clay, savon noir, etc. will be adding to your relaxation experience.
